Things I Wish I Knew in High School

  • If someone tells you that you are oversensitive, that person is probably a jerk.
  • Always use protection. Yes, you. Yes, always.
  • Boys who say, “I’m kind of messed up,” probably are.
  • If someone asks for your phone number and that person
creeps you out, it's okay to give the wrong number.
  • When you don't want to talk to someone, you don't
have to pick up the telephone.

About the Amazon Links

  • The thumbnail images of books and albums on this site connect you to Amazon.com -- but that's because Amazon and my web service provider have a partnership, so it's extremely easy to put images on my site.
However, I don't get any kind of kickback if you buy any of these items and I don't endorse any particular bookstore over any other.

Ashley

I just finished reading Dramarama and it is AMAZING! Being a musical, theater nerd I loved hearing about an experience that sounded like a true story. I loved hearing about Sayde's struggles while Demi was flying by. Great book! Two thumbs way, WAY up! :)

Alexis

I just finished reading it today, it was great and I enjoyed reading every minute of it. Your are truly my favorite author.

Brianna R

I spotted Dramarama in the Teen section of my local Books A Million, and it caught my eye, mostly from the title. I am a HUGE theater geek (and I'm currently playing Natalie in my High school's production of All Shook Up) So I squealed at all of the Broadway references. Well, I sat down right there on the floor in the bookstore and read through half of it-until my dad dragged me out of the store. I'm going back soon so I can finish it and buy it :D

CM

I loved Dramarama! I mean, I'm still reading it since I got it from the LMC 1 day ago. I'm in the middle of the book, and the drama plot and Demi and Sayde's friendship really makes the book shine. Even through the obstacles brought upon them at Wildewood were enough to make their friendship fall apart, their friendship is so strong, I don't think it's going to break. I heart the book, and I recomend it to people who aren't homophobic or rasist, love drama or any of the Arts, and love reading about true love and friendship,I guess. Oh,and over 12 and with smart and thoughtful minds so they can deeply understand the book,I think.
Ciao!

This message is to Rocky. My name is Robin Cabico, you had put in a resequt for a fellow alum, Art Cabico, to find a bone marrow donor. I'm not sure you knew, but Art finally found a 9/10 bone marrow match and was scheduled for a transplant on December 6th, 2008. On December 4th, they ran blood work and the cancer had become extremely aggressive. He passed away on December 6th. I wasn't sure how else to reach you. Thank you for passing the information along on your website. We only wish he had survived.

Sadye's iMix

  • Click here for more Dramarama stuff -- including videos.
  • All the songs from Dramarama
are here, on an iMix. You click on the link above and iTunes will open straight to the mix. Listen before you read Dramarama to make sure you get every little musical reference. Listen afterwards to get a sense of Sadye and Demi's musical world. In any case, these are some of my favorite showtunes of all time. Songs from Rent, Wicked, Guys & Dolls, Cabaret, Chicago, Bye Bye Birdie, Oliver!, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Jersey Boys, Grease, Fame, Sweet Charity, Little Shop of Horrors, and more.
