Things I Wish I Knew in High School

  • If someone tells you that you are oversensitive, that person is probably a jerk.
  • Always use protection. Yes, you. Yes, always.
  • Boys who say, ā€œI’m kind of messed up,ā€ probably are.
  • If someone asks for your phone number and that person
creeps you out, it's okay to give the wrong number.
  • When you don't want to talk to someone, you don't
have to pick up the telephone.

About the Amazon Links

  • The thumbnail images of books and albums on this site connect you to Amazon.com -- but that's because Amazon and my web service provider have a partnership, so it's extremely easy to put images on my site.
However, I don't get any kind of kickback if you buy any of these items and I don't endorse any particular bookstore over any other.

Yes, I am all over that penguin. She looks so serious and full of hope! The penguins in the book are live penguins, though, not toys.

Thanks, Corinne, Marlies, Jess and Mary, for the nice words; Jess, if you liked Boyfriend List, can I suggest

Looking for Alaska by John Green
Boy Proof by Cecil Castelluci
Gingerbread by Rachel Cohn
or
The Year of Secret Assignments by Jaclyn Moriarty

all great reads that are similar

Hi E.,

I just put the final dot on the french version of The Boyfriend List.

I will miss Ruby. Unlike her, I'm quite sad to be out of the Tate universe.

Anyway, thank you very much for these two months back in a realistic and moving teenage world.
