This book, Saving Francesca, is just awesome. I know the cover is a boring brown and the little halo over the "a" makes it look like a Christian book, but go read it, y'all. It's the story of Francesca Spinelli, who has transferred in her junior year to an all-boys Catholic school. Well, it was all boys until this year, and Francesca's thrown together with the few other girls in her grade, girls she doesn't really like. The boys are insufferable sexist farters, and the school has no sports for girls, no facilities for them (aside from bathrooms) and basically no clue. Plus, her mom has sunk into a debilitating depression and just lies in bed all day.
It's very funny, and true to life, and just a great read.
